English class placement

Students in all majors (except English and Chinese major) must take the English Proficiency Test at the beginning of the course, right after new student completes the admission process at Computer lab.

Note for students:

• In case students who do not take the English Placement Test or fail to submit the International English certificate will be required to study in the lowest English level class in the Curriculum.
• In case students have already obtained the required International English Certificate, the student is not required to take the placement test. The placement level will be based on the corresponding point in the valid English Certificate level.
• Students are required to submit the valid International English certificate to the university at Student services office (E0001) for the consideration of the corresponding English level.

Procedure: Students access to website of Department of Undergraduate studies (http://undergrad.tdtu.edu.vn/) → Academics → Regulations → Download forms: next, with photocopies photo → Submitted at the Advisory and Support Office (E.0001)

• Students will be graded English language tuition based on the results of the assessment of English ability or the results of the transcript English students submit.
• Students who score lower than the English proficiency level 1 will have to prioritize TKB to supplement the preparatory English modules in the first academic year. (Other courses are missing from the Course of Study, students will have to take extra classes in HK 2, HK Summer of the same school year.)
